Ry had his first big day out at Kaneyo's Art on the Beach on the weekend. Out to support papa who had photos in the art show, Ry was a hit with all the older sexy girls and made several new girlfriends! Thanks to Jon at Kaneyo for putting on an amazing show-the weather turned it on and made it a day to remember! Everyone's displays were fantastic and the music was equally as entertaining. Thanks to everyone!

After a day of constant mumma duties Ry and I took a stroll along the beach this afternoon at Shida. Waves were pumping and the sky was funky. Ry loves the sound of waves and was asleep in his carrier in minutes. Perfect.

今日はママの仕事終わったら来君と２人時間で志田で散歩。波良かった。そして空もきれい。波の音大好きから5分でカリアーで寝ちゃった。リフレッシュ最高。

Yey! Today Ryder's Aussie Citizenship came through! Hard to think until now he was legally only Japanese, but now he is officially an Aussie too. The typhoon is over and we were left with perfect weather today. Only a month to go and we will be back in Summer over in Oz. Bring on Xmas!

Heather Brown will be teaming up with some of Japan’s finest surf artists, photographers and musicians next month at Art on the Beach cafe/studio. Surfer’s Eyes’ own photographer Kuni Takanami is on the lineup displaying some of his works. Don’t miss it!

Into his 5th week of life, Ryder has learned to smile and although we don't get to see it all the time as he does suffer from bouts of colic, when he busts a grin it is a heart melter!
Trying to balance a freelance working life with a newborn is testing, but thankfully he sleeps perfectly at night so we can all stay sane! He loves his morning walk and I get a guaranteed hour of peace and quiet whilst taking in the stunning Autumn scenery.

もう５週間になって、急に笑い顔出してくれた！いつも出さないと泣き止まらない時もはんぱないけどスマイル出したらやっぱり心が温かくなるね！フリーランスな仕事と産まれたばっかりの赤ちゃんのはママとパパにけっこうハードなんだけど来人君は夜泣きしないとゆっくり寝てもらうから良かった！昼間にもう少し寝てもらえば良いけど。。でも朝の散歩が大好きで家出たらすぐに寝ちゃうからママも散歩中の１時間でリラックス出来るね。そして、家の周りにいっぱいきれいな秋景色があるから最高！

ryder update!

Soo busy being a mummy! Ryder is doing well, growing big and strong everyday. He sleeps great at night and is getting into a routine during the days which is helpful! Have to update the blog in more detail as soon as I get a spare minute!

ママの仕事始まったから自分の時間全部が無くなって、ブロッグをアップデートするも出来なくてごめんなさい。
来君もう毎日大きくなって、いっぱい元気にしてます！！
夜にいっぱい寝てくれて、昼間は忙しいけど最近２人ともルーチンが上手く出来てるから疲れたなのにそんなに大変ではないね。
クニパパも仕事とかでいっぱい忙しいけど毎日ライダーのケーヤをいっぱいヘルプしてくれてるから感謝。来君もパパの事大好きと毎晩２人がいっぱい遊んでます。クニパパ最高です！

今度またゆっくり書きます！

9 hours of labor later, 3540gram Ryder Takanami is born into this world at 5:28am on September 10th.

Mum, Dad and bubs doing really well-home finally and settling into the new life!

予定日来ちゃった。。/The Due date arrives

今日は予定日。。何かまだ産まれないね。でも、毎日赤ちゃんが下がって来てるし、いつか産まれる感じしてるね。
早く会いたい。。

The due date has arrived with no real serious baby action to report...but he's dropping pretty low so it should be any day now...can't wait to have him in my arms!

まだまだ赤ちゃんが出て来ないから、待ってるは大変！お腹もう大き過ぎでどんどん動きつらいなってる。先週病院に行って、赤ちゃんは3700gram過ぎた。。やばいやばいと思って、先生が『来週かなあ。。』と言われた。。心配するなら、問題が出来ちゃうから心配しないように毎日PCで仕事をやったり、本を読んだり、元気で生けてるけど、やっぱり早く赤ちゃんを出て欲しいね！
今、オーストラリアの旅行紹介ウエッブサイトを作ってるとそろそろあっぷするからそれも楽しみだし、サイトを作ってるあいだにオーストラリアの最高な所をいっぱい見つけて、自分もまだ行った事ない所も多いね。これから行きたい。。サイトがアップしたら皆さんに連絡するは。そして、赤ちゃんが産まれたらも！

It's hard to be sitting and waiting everyday, but as the due date closes in for baby Ryder, there's not much else I can do but relax, chill and try to keep my mind off it! Already at 3700grams, the 'longer we wait the bigger he gets' fear has been slowly creeping in, but the doc does think he will come sometime this week so fingers crossed. In the meantime, I'm keeping busy by working on the computer, reading books, and staying positive...but he could do me a favor by coming anytime, today even...yeah?

Our new Aussie travel website is so close to being finished, which is also exciting and keeping me preoccupied. Putting it together has reminded me of what a beautiful place I call home and how many places I still haven't been to in my own homeland....can't wait to take the new family and just go cruising around oz...

久しぶり友達に会った！

先週の話けど、久しぶり友達にあった！長い付き合いで、もう１０年なったかな。。日本に住んでいるなのに、あってないのは２−３年くらいなっちゃって、千葉まで来てくれた本当に嬉しかった。ありうがとうくみちゃん。

今日ブレッドメーカーが届いて、お母さんと身体にすごくヘルシーなパン作りました。本当にお美味しかった！明日また作ります！

Bread Maker time! Mum and I baked our first batch of sugar-free, healthy wholemeal bread. Tasted fantastic, and got the thumbs up from Kuni. Stoked. Gotta make a new batch tomorrow morning.

No baby to report yet....my patience is being tested...

Stoked to catch up with Kumi last week-thanks so much for coming down babe, it was so good to see you!
